49 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village <br />May 16, 1988 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in Regular Session on Monday, May 16, <br />1988, at 8:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Mayfield Village Hall. <br />Council President Santo Basile presided. <br />Roll Call: Present: Mro Basile, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Flynn, Mrs. Mills, <br />Mr. Petschauer, Mr. Rinker, and Mrs Santoro <br />Absent : None <br />Also Present Were . Mayor Carmen, Mr. Feneli (8:03 p.m.) Mr. Patrick, <br />Mr. Ramos, Det. Liggett, Firefighter Neyman <br />(8:03 p.m.), and Miss Heath. <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />OPEN PORTION <br />Judge Robert Grogan, Oakton Circle - said that he would like to call to <br />Council's attention the condition of Hickory Hill Drive, Oakton Circle, and <br />Woodbine. He said that sections of those roads are breaking apart, have <br />holes, rips, etc. Judge Grogan said that the first obligation of the. City <br />and Council is to keep streets open. He asked.that Council please use the <br />$106,000 in their budget for those streets. He said that correspondence <br />Mayor Carmen sent out last, November had said that Oakton was paved, however, <br />only a quarter of the street was done. He asked that they finish the <br />street. <br />Mayor Carmen said that Hickory Hill Drive.was #l on the list of streets to <br />be resurfaced. Sandalwood and Butternut are also at the top of the list. <br />He said that he received a cost estimate from the Engineer for (concrete) <br />replacement of entire sections of the road and to rebuild several of the <br />catch.-basins. Mayor Carmen said that the Village may well be able to <br />resurface the bad sections of those streets this year. <br />Consideration of Minutes - Regular Council Meeting - April 18 1988 - <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Flynn, made a motion to approve the minutes. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR CARMEN <br />Mayor Carmen thanked everyone f or their assistance and participation in the <br />1988 Mother's Day Pancake Breakfast. He expressed a special thanks to Sandy <br />and Marie Basile f or their hard work. Mayor Carmen said that almost $3,000 <br />. was made from the breakfast,.an approximate $1,800 in profit. He said that <br />almost 800 people were served._ <br />CONINIENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT BASILE <br />Mr. Basile had no comment.
