52 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />5/16/88 <br />Page 4 <br />Progressive New Drive - Mayor Carmen said that Mr. Hovancsek met with the <br />contractor, ' the County Engineer, Progressive, and Western Reserve <br />Engineering (the Engineer for Progressive.) Mr. Hovancsek suggested they <br />meet with the utility companies and he is meeting with them again•.next week. <br />Aintree North Drainage - Mayor Carmen said that Mr. Caticchio sent the <br />Village `a document which he sent to Mre Feneli for his opinion. He said <br />that he has received calls from residents who are losing their property to <br />erosion. He said that he was advised that the residents are going to do <br />what they have to do to have the matter taken care_of. He said that he <br />can't blame them because we have been promising them for 18 months to two <br />years that we are going to do something back there because the developer has <br />been promising us for that long. Mayor Carmen said that Mr. Caticchio had <br />requested that the Village give them legislation stating that they are the <br />Village's agent and that they are doing this work on behalf of the Village. <br />Mayor Carmen said that he told Mr. Caticchio.that the Village would give <br />them a right to go on our easement, but we would not make them our,agent in <br />the event that they or their contractor were negligent. Mayor Carmen said <br />at the same meeting he talked to Mr. Caticchio, Lee Courtney was present. <br />He said Mr.. Courtney suggested that they do the portion of the work they <br />could do without going ori the Buzdon or Ziernicki property and let the <br />natural forces of nature carve out the channel on their properties. Mayor <br />Carmen said he asked Mr. Courtney for a letter that would say essentially <br />that if they do this the way that they want to do it that there is not going <br />to be tremendous flooding and drainage problems to all of the residents <br />occasioned by this. Mayor Carmen said that Mr. Courtney told him he would <br />get him the letter. He said the letter he received from Mr. Courtney says <br />nothing close to that. Mayor Carmen asked Mr. Feneli and Mr. Ramos,to get <br />in touch with him and find out what he is willing to do and what he is not <br />willing to do, then we will make a decision whether or not to participate. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Split of Parcel #831-9-3 - Mr. Ramos said that we received a letter from <br />Patrick Murphy of the County Prosecutor's Office. He said that we will be <br />in contact with the owners to ask them to submit plans to the city to see <br />what the city would do in_that respecte If the city approves it, then fine. <br />Mr. Ramos said that if the city does not approve it, then we will have to go <br />back to Common Pleas Court and ask them to rescind the lot split. <br />Completion of the Community HVAC - Mayor Carmen said that the contractors <br />who were to do the tin work were on strike. They will be working on it on <br />May 19 and 20 and hope to complete it. Mayfield Township Historical Society (Annual Dues) - Mayor Carmen said that <br />we have not heard back from the Historical Society so our position remains <br />the same. <br />Mayfield -Women's-Club-Insignia - Mrs. Cinco said that it is done and that <br />they have it on display.
