<br />Regular Council Meeting <br />5/16/88 <br />Page 7 <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Flynn, made a motion to.enact Ordinance No. <br />88-14. Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Garried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Reading of Ordinance. No. 88=159 entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ENACTING' NEW <br />SECTION 513:01(dd) NTITLED, "DEFINITIONS," AND AMENDING SECTION 513.04 <br />ENTITLED: "POSSESSION, 'MANUFACTURE AND SALE OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA," TO <br />CHAPTER 513 "DRUG ABUSE CONTROL" OF PART FIVE "GENERAL OFFENSES CODE" OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO." Introduced by Mayor Carmen <br />and Council as a Wholee <br />Mr. Flynn recommended that this ordinance be referred to the Safety and <br />Service Committee. He suggested that the Police Chief look at the <br />legislation and that it be discussed at the next Safety and Service Meeting. <br />Resolution No. 88-11, entitled; "A RESOLUTION URGING THE PRES.IDENT AND <br />CONGRESS OF THE iFNITED STATES TO EXERCISE THEIR POWERS IN AN EFFORT TO SAVE <br />THE FUTURE OF THE.SURPLUS FOOD PROGRAM.:' Introduced by Mayor. Carmen and <br />the entire Councile <br />Mayor Carmen said that he and his wife.Karen and Human Services Director <br />Eunice Kalina are currently looking into alternatives to the Surplus Food <br />Program and are studying the potential of starting a food bank in the area. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />First Reading of Resolufion No. 88=20,entitled; "AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE. MAYOR TO AMEND THE AGREEMENT WITH THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS TO ALLOW FOR AN EXTENSION OF TIME TO APPLY FOR REIMBURSEMENT <br />FOR.ENHANCED.9-1-1.'."
