So <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />7/18/88 <br />Page 2 <br />Board of-Appeals - Mr. Amendola said the Board of Appeals was not required to <br />meet this month. <br />Cemetery - Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Citizen's Advisory Committee - Mr. Basile said the Committee met June 27. He <br />reviewed many of the items they discussed. (see CAC min. 6/27/88) <br />Commission on Aging - Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Flynn said the Committee met this evening. He said <br />that the committee recommends approval of_ the following items: <br />Orclinance 88-22, Reso.lutions: 88-31, 88-32, 88-33, 88-34, 88-35, 88-36 <br />and 88-37. The Committee also recommends that Council accept the <br />contract from A& J Cement Contractors for street resurfacing. The <br />total amount of the contract (including Engineer's fees) is $99,736. <br />They also recommend that Council accept the bid from Waste Management <br />(Ecology Services) for rubbish removal service. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mre Santoro said there was no report. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Petschauer was not present; no report. <br />Planning and Zoning Mr. Basile said the Commission met July 7. They approved <br />a lot split on Echo Drive and discussed a lot split on S.O.M. that had already <br />taken place. <br />Recreation - Mr. Santoro said the Committee asked him to express their thanks <br />to Mr. Amendola for his assistance on the installation of the new bleachers. <br />He said, regarding the Village Days date change, that the race dates cannot be <br />changede He explained that the race had been advertised in race booklets, <br />etc. <br />Safety and Service- Mrs. Mills said the Committee met July 13. They referred <br />information regarding the preparation of an ordinance to designate the use of <br />the bike path to Mr. Ramos. The legislation would provide authorization for <br />emergency vehicles to use the path. They have referred the guardrail/wall <br />problem (needed to protect cyclists and joggers) to Mr. Hovancsek for his <br />input. Mrs. Mills said the Commitee is still studying a Safety/Service levy. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Kevin Marrie Insurance-Proposal - Mr. Basile asked if we had received his <br />proposal. Since we had not, Mr. Basile said that he will contact him. <br />Berms on S.O.M. at Bike-Path - Mrs. Mills said that Mr. Hovancsek was going to <br />look into this. <br />Mrm Hovancsek arrived at this time (8:17 p.m.) <br />Pesticide Legislation - Mr. Basile aslced whether or not the Village was <br />enforcing this legislation. <br />Mayor Carmen `said that he had received conflicting reports about the <br />legitimacy of our ordinance and asked Mre Ramos to determine whether or not it
