So Regular Council Meeting 7/18/88 Page 2 Board of-Appeals - Mr. Amendola said the Board of Appeals was not required to meet this month. Cemetery - Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. Citizen's Advisory Committee - Mr. Basile said the Committee met June 27. He reviewed many of the items they discussed. (see CAC min. 6/27/88) Commission on Aging - Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. Finance Committee - Mr. Flynn said the Committee met this evening. He said that the committee recommends approval of_ the following items: Orclinance 88-22, Reso.lutions: 88-31, 88-32, 88-33, 88-34, 88-35, 88-36 and 88-37. The Committee also recommends that Council accept the contract from A& J Cement Contractors for street resurfacing. The total amount of the contract (including Engineer's fees) is $99,736. They also recommend that Council accept the bid from Waste Management (Ecology Services) for rubbish removal service. Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mre Santoro said there was no report. M.A.R.C. - Mr. Petschauer was not present; no report. Planning and Zoning Mr. Basile said the Commission met July 7. They approved a lot split on Echo Drive and discussed a lot split on S.O.M. that had already taken place. Recreation - Mr. Santoro said the Committee asked him to express their thanks to Mr. Amendola for his assistance on the installation of the new bleachers. He said, regarding the Village Days date change, that the race dates cannot be changede He explained that the race had been advertised in race booklets, etc. Safety and Service- Mrs. Mills said the Committee met July 13. They referred information regarding the preparation of an ordinance to designate the use of the bike path to Mr. Ramos. The legislation would provide authorization for emergency vehicles to use the path. They have referred the guardrail/wall problem (needed to protect cyclists and joggers) to Mr. Hovancsek for his input. Mrs. Mills said the Commitee is still studying a Safety/Service levy. OLD BUSINESS Kevin Marrie Insurance-Proposal - Mr. Basile asked if we had received his proposal. Since we had not, Mr. Basile said that he will contact him. Berms on S.O.M. at Bike-Path - Mrs. Mills said that Mr. Hovancsek was going to look into this. Mrm Hovancsek arrived at this time (8:17 p.m.) Pesticide Legislation - Mr. Basile aslced whether or not the Village was enforcing this legislation. Mayor Carmen `said that he had received conflicting reports about the legitimacy of our ordinance and asked Mre Ramos to determine whether or not it
