u `4 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />8/15/88 <br />Page 2 <br />Mr. Ramos said that the ordinances will also have to go to the vote of the <br />peopleo He explained the legislation was drafted pursuant to the last <br />Ordinance Review Committee meeting. He said that not all of the changes that <br />were proposed have been made but they will eventually be brought up at the <br />next meeting, . <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola had not arrived. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola had not arrived. <br />Cemetery - Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Finance - Mr. Flynn said the Committee met this evening. He said that they <br />were informed by the Finance Director that he paid $360,000 to the County f or <br />our part of the 12" water line in Mayfield Village. He said the Committee <br />recommends that Council approve expenditures of $4,578 for hepatitis <br />vaccinations for the police and fire department members and $82.73 for the <br />Village Days Committee. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Santoro said there was no reporto <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Petschauer said there was no report. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Basile said that Mr. Ramos had already <br />reported on what had taken place at the last meeting. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said the Commission met on August lst. They <br />considered a detached garage at 825 Worton Park and discussed Fisher's Tavern. <br />He asked Mrm Ramos if anything had happened yete <br />Mr. Ramos said that nothing had happened yet. <br />Recreation - Mrs Santoro said that the annual Five Mile Run was held on <br />August 7. It was a huge success. He said the Children's Fun Run scheduled <br />for August 6 was canceled because of the hot weather. He expressed thanks to <br />all residents who volunteered for the events Mr. Santoro said the Softball <br />Banquet was held at the High School and catered by Pizzazze He said trophies <br />were distributeda He reported that many positive comments were received about <br />the playground program. Mr. Santoro said the Men's 30 and Over Softball <br />league will begin shortly. <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Mills said the committee met August 10. They <br />discussed the communications necessary for police and fire, radio frequencies, <br />and a word processor for Police and Fire. Mrse Mil-1s said the cost of the <br />pumper is being evaluated. She said the committee also discussed a Master <br />Plan for the development of a Municipal Center and/or a safety and service <br />levy. A through the wall air conditioning unit and the cost of an overhead <br />heating and cooling system with duct work for the Village Hall were discusseda <br />Mrs. Mills reported that Mayor Carmen said he has seen only the preliminary <br />drawings for Progressive. <br />Mrv Amendola arrived at this time (8:13 p.mo)
