?5 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />8/15/88 <br />Page 3 <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />No Parking Signs at Fisher's Tavern - Chief Stevens said that Mayor Carmen had <br />asked him to put it off for a while because he was in the process of <br />negotiating with them. Chief Stevens said that Mayor Carmen hasn't gotten <br />back to him about it yet. <br />Aintree North Drainage - Mr. Ramos said that a letter was sent from the <br />Mayor's Office demanding that the developer pay.the amount of $2,500. He said <br />that no action has been taken since that time. <br />Mr. Flynn said he did not see any problem with the Village paying the resident <br />and asked that payment be made. <br />There were no ojbections from Council that payment be made. <br />White Road Ditches - Mr. Wolszynek said that as far as he knew nothing had <br />been done yet. <br />Mr. Basile asked that Mr. Wolszynek advise Mr. Hovancsek to make sure <br />something is done. <br />Spaghetti Company Addition - Mr. Basile asked whose resposibility the problem <br />was - Mr. Musca's.or the Spaghetti Company. He said:a letter was sent to the <br />Spaghetti Company in April and to date nothing has been done. <br />Mr. Amendola said that a meeting has been scheduled for August 24 with Mayor <br />Carmen, Mr. Musca, and him. <br />Trailer,and Building Materials at 600 S.O.M. Center Rd. -.Mr. Basile said the <br />owners were given until July lst to remove the trailer and it is still there. <br />Mrs Amendola said the Village has offered to buy the trailer for $400. He <br />said he went there on Friday to pick it up but no one was at home. Mr. <br />Amendola.said the trailer will be moved this week. , <br />Assistant Service Directo"r - Mre Ramos said he was hoping that the Civil <br />Service Commission would have responded by Friday s.o that the new appointee <br />could be inducted this evening. Mr. Ramos said that the Civil Service <br />Commission Chairman advised him that the Commission would be meeting tomorrow. <br />He said that Mayor Carmen had called him but that he did not know the result <br />of his call. He said we are still waiting for a response from the Civil <br />Service Commission. <br />Yield _& Stop Signs at Bike Path - All Roads - Mr. Basile explained the <br />difficulty motorists were having trying to turn into their drives and asked <br />what was being done about signs. <br />Mr. Ramos said. that we have located a copy of the section of the Ohio <br />Department of Transportation code relative.to signs on bike paths. He said he <br />had met with Chief.Steuens_and Sgt. Jay and had given.them copies of the code. <br />They will be reviewing them over the next few days and will get together again <br />to decide what signs should go where. <br />Mr. Basile said that he has been receiving many calls about this problem.
