?lo <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />9/26/88 <br />Page 10 <br />New Fire Truck - Mr. Basile said that Chief Mohr gave them a copy of the <br />specifications. Mrs. Mills said that the specifications were reviewed by the Safety and <br />Service Committee. They are referxing it to Council hoping tliat approval will <br />be given to advertise. <br />Mayor Carmen said that if the Safety and Service Committee feels that the <br />specifications are good that he would authorize advertisement for the fire <br />truck. He asked if he was authorized to allow advertisement for <br />specifications that is within his spending limit to do or does Council have to <br />make a motion. Mr. Ramos said that from what he understands the Mayor can authorize <br />advertisement. <br />Mayor Carmen said that the advertisement for a fire truck could be published. <br />Progressive Insurance - Mr. Hovancsek said the site plan that was submitted <br />was not a normal site plan ready for review. He said that he has not received <br />a more complete site plan. He said that he sent a copy of his letter to <br />Council to Progressive. <br />Mayor Carmen asked if Mra Hovancsek had sent a copy of his letter to Mr. <br />Bloomfield and Mr. Heller. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said that he had done so. <br />Mayor Carmen asked Mr. Hovancsek to contact them to let them know they should <br />be prepared to address the points that Mr. Hovancsek had raised in the letter. <br />Mr. Flynn requested that Council receive copies of the letter. <br />Mayor Carmen said he believed that the major issue Progressive will want <br />Council to consider is a height variance. He felt the rest of the items <br />should be,reviewed by Planning and Zoning. Mayor Carmen said that they said <br />they will have a complete presentation on Monday. Mr. Hovancsek stated that he was shown a draft of a report regarding the 100 <br />year flood plain study being done for Progressive. He said that he has 'not <br />seen the final report and that that is very critical along with the site plan. <br />Mayor Carmen asked that Mr. Hovancsek telephone them tomorrow with respect to <br />the report and to also document it in writing. <br />Animal Warden -$35 Fee - Mayor Carmen said that lie received a copy of Mr. <br />Basile's invoice and that he put a note on it for ponna to call to find out <br />why we are being charged for that service. He will report on this at Caucus. <br />Mr. Basile said that lie would like to amend the agenda to include Ordinances <br />88-34 and 88-35. <br />61
