Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council <br />as a Whole. (First Reading 8/15/88, Referred to P&Z.) <br />Mr. Ramos'commented that the Planning and Zoning Commission had trouble with <br />Ordinance No. 88-31 with respect to the lot.He thinks that that was turned <br />over to Council to consider or whatevere <br />Mr. Basile quoted from.the Planning and Zoning minutes. He read that, "Mr. <br />Schulte made the recommendation that the Commission pass on the ordinance and <br />leave the finalization of the amendments up to Council." <br />Second Reading of Ordinance No. 88-32, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE REPEALING <br />SUBSECTIONS. 1153.02(f)(8) AND 1153.02(f)(10) OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF <br />MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, ELIMINATING DOCTORS' AND DENTISTS OFFICES AND RESEARCH <br />LABORATORIES AS A SPECIAL PERMIT USE IN A CLASS U-6 DISTRICT AND REPEALING ALL <br />ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as <br />a Whole. (First Reading 8/15/88, Referred to P&Z.) Second Reading of Ordinance No. 88-33, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />SECTION 1157.03 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />PROHIBITING ROOMERS IN A CLASS U-1 AND U-2 DISTRICT AND REPEALING ALL <br />ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH." (First Reading 8/15/88, Referred to P&Z.) <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Beech Hill Pump Station - Mr. Basile said that he understands that they are <br />supposed to have variable speed pumps at the station but that they do not. He <br />asked Mr. Hovancsek what he knew about it. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said that he did not know whether or not they had variable speed <br />pumps. He said that the principal problem at the beginning was that they had <br />the wrong type of valves for opening and closing the flow at the pump station. <br />The valves were very quick closing which caused the main to break. He said <br />they were replaced about 7-8 years ago with slower closing valves. Mr. <br />Hovancsek said that since they have done that we have had very little problem <br />with it. <br />Discussion was held about the problem that occurred Labor Day weekend. <br />Mayor Carmen requested that Mr.JHovancsek schedule the quarterly meeting with <br />the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District. He said this matter could be <br />discussed with them at that meeting. <br />Mr. Basile explained that Mr. Odeal of the N.E.O.R.S.D. had been scheduled to <br />attend the meeting this evening but was unable to attend. <br />Mayor Carmen said that Mr. Odeal will be attending the October 3 Council <br />Caucuse <br />Discussion was-held regarding the response time when a problem occurs.
