He said that we have good
schools and that Mayfield was ranked by a National publication as one
of the 50 best school districts in the Country. He said that our
school district is now at the point where they need your help. There
is a 5.5. mill levy on the ballot. It will cost the average citizen
of the school district 34 cents a day. Dr. Stabile said that we have
not had a tax increase in the General Fund in 10 years. There are
only two school districts in the County with lower taxes than the
Mayfield School District. He asked Council and the people in the
audience for their help and for their yes votes on the levy. He
asked if there were any questions.
Mr. Hovancsek arrived at this time (8:04 p.m.)
There were no comments from the audience.
Mayor Carmen said that he thinks the school levy is obviously a good
one and is worthwhile.
