130 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />10/17/88 <br />Page 2 <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR CARMEN <br />Mayor Carmen had no comments. <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT BASILE <br />Mr. Basile had no comments. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS Mr. Amendola said that the Building Department would like to thank <br />the Fire Department for participating in the inspection of the <br />Ainntree Park apartments. <br />Mr. Patrick expressed thanks and special recognition to Assistant <br />Finance Director Pat Minor and to Donna Heath for their assistance so <br />that the department can continue while they are short one person. He <br />said that they are in the process of interviewing. <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola said that the Architectural <br />Review Board rejected plans for a new single-family dwelling and <br />approved plans for a deck and a shed at their last meeting. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said there was no requirement for the <br />Board to meet this month. <br />Cemetery - Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Finance - Mr. Flynn said that the Committee met this evening. They <br />discussed the $450,000 note for the new water line on Wilson Mills <br />and the purchase of a new fire truck. Bids for the fire truck will <br />be due on the 21st of this month. They would like to recommend <br />passage of the following: <br />Burgess and Niple - payment of fee <br />Mr. Flynn asked Mr. Hovancsek where they stood on this. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said that they are nearly completed (about 90%) with <br />the entire study at this time and that he recommends that they be <br />paid. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Santoro said that there was no <br />report. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Petschauer had not arrived. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Basile said that the committee had <br />met but had nothing to discuss. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said that the Commission met on <br />October 3. They reviewed Ordinance No. 88-35 and it was recommended <br />to Council for passage. Discussion was held regarding Village Plaza <br />(see P&Z minutes). <br />Recreation - Mr. Santoro reminded all residents that the Village <br />Halloween Party will be held on Saturday, October 29, at 1 p.m. at <br />the Mayfield Activity Center.
