172 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />12/19/88 <br />Page 8 <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />? <br />Mr. Ramos explained that this ordinance was given first reading in <br />October and referred to Planning & Zoning. The Planning and Zoning <br />Commission recommended that Section 2 pertaining to eating places as an <br />accessory use be deleted. Mr. Ramos read the section of the <br />legislation pertaining to the amendment. He said that Council received <br />an amended version of the ordinance on November 7 and asked for a <br />motion to amend. <br />Mr. Ramos said that the Public Hearing for Ordinances 88-39 and 88-40 <br />must be postponed until January 23. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to amend Ordinance <br />No. 88-40 (as amended 11/07/88.) , <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Amended <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Mr. Basile said that he would like to amend the agenda to include snow <br />plowing. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to amend the agenda <br />to include Snow Plowing under "New Business." <br />Roll Call: AYES: Al1 <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Agenda Amended <br />Traffic LiQht at RaleiQh Drive - Mr. Wolszynek reported that the <br />Traffic Engineer has given approval on the preliminary concept design. <br />He explained the problems they incurred because of the underground <br />utilities. He said that C.E.I. owns a 5' easement between Raleigh and <br />Beta behind the north •right-of-way on Wilson Mills. He said that <br />C.E.I. has no objection to their putting the pole on the easement. Mr. <br />Wolszynek said that they will use a single mast arm system and will <br />proceed based upon their ability to get permission. <br />New Village Signs - Mayor Carmen said that he has not had time to <br />explore this project further. <br />Burgess & Niple - Mayor Carmen reported that a meeting with Larry <br />Woodlan will be held during the first part of January. After that, <br />discussion can be held regarding funding and the possible establishment <br />of drainage districts, etc. <br /> <br /> <br />Advertisement for Three (3) Police Cars - Bids are due December 23.
