55 MINUTES OF.THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL Mayfield Village May -19, . 1986 The Council of.the Village of Mayfield ttiet in Regular Sessio.n on Monday, May 19, 1986, at 8:07.p.m. i,n the Council Chambers at the Village Hall. Council President, Richard C. Etzler, presided. The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. Ro1T Call: Present: Mr. Basile, Mr. Etzler, Mr. Flynn, Mr. Goley, and Mr.:. Petschauer Absent : None Also Present Were' : Mayor Carmen, Mr. Ameridola, Mz.Feneli, Mr. Hovancsek, Chief Hejcl, Chief Stevens, and,:'Mr. Toth(8:10) OPEN PORTION Judge Robert Grogan, Ward 1 Resident, was present along with a few other zesidents to express concern about holes in their road. He explained that 6728 and 6800 Hickory Hill Drive are two areas of major concern.. The holes in the road and right-of-way are getting deeper and poses a danger to the area. He feels it is the Village's responsibility to keep the road free from defects. Mr. Toth arrived at this time. (8:10 p.m.) Mr. Etzler said that about $30,000 was appropriated for miscellaneous road repair. He asked Mr. Amendola what could be done. Mr. Amendola said the residents of that'_area.-.do not want repair made with asphalt or hydraul.ic cement, they want concrete replacement which is a more costly and time-consuming project. Mr. Etzler asked how it would be to put in asphalt for temporary repair, until the area could be patched with concrete. There were no objections from the audience. Mayor Carmen explained the road rating process and the five year repair plan. He_recognizes that more permanent work will have to be done, but according to the.5 year plan, the roads are repaired,by priority, and there are roads in greater need of repair.
