109 Special Meeting of Council - August 4, 1986 - Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Goley, made the motion to approve the minutes. ' Roll.Cal1: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Minutes Approved Mr..Etzler said he would like to amend the agenda to incl.ude the Mayor's Commen.ts. There being no objections, the agenda was amended. MAYOR'S COMMENTS Mayor Carmen stated that he would like to emphasize :that his concern in making the barrier at Mayfield Heights in Worton Park was to alleviate a safety problem to the residents of'Worton Park. Bad reporting, to no fault of the reporter, caused confusion on the issue and as far as the Village.is concerned, the issue is-dead. They will look into another outlet. Mayor Carmen stated that Village Days was a huge success and thanks is given to all who donated their time. A lot of work was accomplished by a small, but dedicated committee. DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS No repcrts given. STANDING GOMMITTEE REPORTS Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola stated that drawings were app'roved for four new homes in the Ain.tree North Development. Board of Appeals - No meeting required. Commission on Aging - Mr..Etzler reported that on September 3, 17, and 25 there will be flu shot registrations, a picnic in the park on September 11, and a bus trip to Erie, PA the beginning of September. Finance - Mr. Flynn reported no meeting was held in July. Council.had a Special Meeting on July 14 to pass the.1987 Tax Budget and the Street Lighting Assessment Ordinance. Finance met th,is evening ond are recommending the following: 86-37 - General Liability Insurance be passed, Purchase of two police cars, Income from the Village Races go to the Recreation Fund, Other items to be further reviewed at the next Caucus Meeting. Mr. F1ynn questioned Mr. Hovancsek on the availability of state loans for the water main repairs on Wilson Mills.
