124 <br />First Reading of Ordir.ance No. 86-22, entiGled; "AN ORDINANGE ENACTING <br />CHAPTER 1379 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />PEB_TAINING TO CERTIFICP.,TES OF INSPECTION OF RESIDENTIAL DWELLINGS." <br />Introduced by Councilmen George R. Goley and David Petschauer. <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 86-23, entitled; "AN ORDINAD'CE AMENDING <br />SECTION 1157.06 OF THE GODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />PERTAINING TO ACCESSORY USES IN SINGLE-FAMILY HOUSE DISTRICTS, REPEALING <br />ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." <br />IntYOduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Etzler said Ordinance No. 86-23 must be referred from Council to Planning <br />and Zoning prior to coming back t:o Council. Planning and Zoning willomake their <br />comments and recon:mendations.to Council. He asked.the Clerk of Council to set up <br />a Special Council Meeting for Thursday at 8:30 p.m. He hopes to vote on it then. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Mr. Etzler asked that a notice be hand-delivered to the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission on Tuesday requesting their consideration of this ordinance. <br />Mayor Carmen asked that Mr. Schulte be contacted and asked to call a Special <br />Meeting during the Planning and Zoning Workshop meeting scheduled for Thursday. <br />Mr. Etzler said the Mayor has requested a short executive session follo.wing this <br />meeting, and asked for closing comments now, <br />CLOSING COMMENTS <br />Mr. Goley said he attended the meeting (regarding the barrier at Worton Park) <br />where Mayor Carmen specifically stated it would not be removed. He is <br />irritated that our r,eighbors would state that they did not know whut was going <br />on. He said he would like to thank them for offering Co install a barrier. He <br />would like to make a recommendation to the Mayor that once tlieir barrier is in <br />place that we reinove ours. We could save the cost of maintaining it, etc. and <br />plant flowers to beautify Mayfield Village. He would like to thank Mayor <br />I7eJohn publicly. <br />Mr. Petschauer said he atCended a.co.mmittee me?dting:.regarding.the"iScHooT.Bond <br />issues. They have his support because they will not only serve the cliildren <br />in the school system, but the total community. _ <br />Mr. Petschauer said he was contacted by Mr. and Mrs. Cotton who wauld like <br />Mayor Carmen to update them on the progress since his visit to their property. <br />Mr. Feneli is checking into several ma;tters regarding the GoCtons. <br />Mr. Petschauer said th4t several residents have taken advantage of the tear <br />sheet on his August Citizen's Response letter and he will present a numb.er:of <br />concerns to Mayor Carmen. <br />Council went into Executive Session at 8:52 p.m. <br />Council reconvened at 9:32 p.m. Mr. Etzler agreed to hold another Open . <br />Portion at this time since many residents were present who had not spoken <br />during the open portion at the beginning of the meeting.
