749 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayf ield Village <br />October 20, 1986 <br />The Council of riayf ield Vi11age met in Regular Session on Monday, October <br />20, 1986, at 8:05 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Village Hall. <br />Council President Richard C. Etzler presided. <br />Roll Call: Present: Mr. Basi].e, Mr. Etzler, Mr. Flynn, Mr. Goley, and <br />Mr. Petschauer <br />Absent :, None <br />Also Present Were . Mayor Carmen, Mr. Feneli, Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. Toth, <br />Chief Hejcl, and Chief Stevens (8:10 p.m.) <br />The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given. <br />OPEN PORTTON <br />Mr. Fred Klang, 6743 Hickory Hill Drive - said that approxima.tely three weeks <br />ago a large tree in their back yard came down. At that time they noticed that <br />they had quite a bit of water in their back yard. His wife called the ..,Engineer <br />on pctober 14 and he came over the next day. The Engineer told his wife that <br />he would send a surveyor out:? Thursday o.r Friday. Mr. Klang said no one came <br />out and he would like to know when the surveyor will come out. <br />Mayor Carmen explained that he had talked to Mrs. K1'ang earlier, and that he <br />talked to the Engineer, Mr. Hovancsek, prior to this meeting. He had asked <br />Mr. Hovancsek if he thought it was possible that there is more water in the <br />yard now. Mr. Hovancsek told him that he did not want to form an opiniori until <br />he had sent someone out to shoot grades.. After that, Mr. Hovancsek will make <br />' the determination as to whether the cause of the problem is the slab in the <br />' neighbor's yard, or what the problem.migh.t be, and he will submit his report <br />in writing. <br />Mr. Klang asked if this would be done before the Architectural Review Board <br />Meeting on Thursday. , <br />Mayor Carmen said that we wi11 advise the A.R.B. that any decision they make <br />should be contingent upon the Engineer.'.s report. . <br />Mr. Klang said he asked the Building Commissioner for the addresses of the <br />other three similar garages at least 11z months ago and he just received the <br />addresses a few days ago. He said he took pictures of them, which he showed <br />to Council. The seven pictures were submitted as an attachmenC to these <br />minutes. Mr. Klang showed a picture of 740 S.O.M. Center Road. He said this <br />garage is on five acres of commercial prcperty and it cannot be seen from <br />S.O.M. Center Road. <br />Council corrected Mr. Klang; that 740 S.O.M. Cente.r Road is residential <br />property.
