152 <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPOR <br />Mr. Feneli said he x•eceived..the revised cooperation agreement and ordinance <br />of consent from Cuyahoga County regarding the Ridgebury Blvd. project. He <br />did not have a chance to put it into form for tonight's meeting, and asked <br />Mr. Hovancsek if there was a deadline or if it could be done at the November <br />meeting. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said it could be done at the November meeting. <br />Mr. Feneli will have the legislation prepared for Council at the November <br />meeting. ' <br />STANDING CONNiIITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board & Board of Appeals - Mr. Etzler said Mr. Amendola <br />was not present; no report. <br />Commission on Aging - Mr. Etzler said he is not prepared to give a report <br />and asked Mrs. Mikula (who was in the audience) to give a report. <br />Mrs. Mikula asked Chief Stevens to explain the litter bag project the <br />Police Department and Commission on Aging are working on. <br />Chief Stevens said some time ago we discussed a Crime Prevention Program <br />which entailed.the distribution of a litter.-type bag which could a].so be <br />used as a dist.ress signal. The Commission on-Aging and Police Dept. will <br />jointly try to fund the venture. (He showed the bag.) They wi11 try to' <br />have it as a crime prevention giveaway at Village functions or possible <br />inclucle it in the Voice of the: Village. <br />Finance - Mr. Flynn said the Committee talked about seven items; 3-4 are <br />related to Mr. Hovancsek. Regarding the Wilson Mills Road street construction <br />and water main funding, he would like to know by the next Caucus how payments <br />shall be made, who the Finance Director can deal with, what the deadline is, <br />and anything else pertinent to that subject. Mr. Flynn said regarding the <br />Ridgeburg Blvd. project funding, they would like to know who it is to be paid <br />to znd what period of time. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said it will be paid to the County, and it would not be paid <br />unti.l after the plans and specifications are done, and in all probability <br />after the bidding is done. Mr. Hovancsek read the portion of the ordinance <br />that deals with Engineer's fees, funding. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Mr. Etzler asked Mr. Hovancsek for an estimate of the total cost to Mayf ield <br />Village for this project to be included in the packets on Friday, and a copy <br />to Mr. Toth. <br />Mr. Flynn said the Committee would like to have Mr. Hovancsek look into <br />the drainage plan funding, consulting, etc. by the next Caucus. <br />Mr. Flynn said regarding the traffic light at Beta/SOM, they would like to have the projected costs and time element for construction.
