153 <br />Mr. Hovancsek said they have not prepared the detailed plan and the <br />construction cost would not be involved until about 4-5 months from nQw. <br />He explained the procedure. <br />Council requested that Mr. Hovancsek prepare this estimate for early 1987. <br />Mr. F1ynn asked Chief Hejcl if there was anyone he could talk to at the <br />Horton Company about the rescu'e squad since we cannot get a financial <br />commitment from Gates Mi11s until next year. Chief Hejc1 said the Horton Company wants cash on delivery and i.t is <br />specified in the contract. <br />Mr. Etzler said there is a problem with the block grants which may affect <br />the ordinance but he thinks it can be amended appropriately. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Petschauer said he has not received <br />any informaticn from then:, and he is not advised of ineeting dates. <br />Mayor Carmen said he wi11 contact someone from the HilIcrest Council of <br />Councils to see that Mayfield ViZlage wi11 be included in future mailings. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Etzler said their Annual Art Show wi11 be held on October <br />21-26 at the Highland Heights Community Room. He said he wi11 do everything he can to <br />make the room available since the M.A.R.C. Mr. Paris had also <br />requested approval to cHange the brick on the sign at the corner of Beta <br />and SOM from white to red, and.he also wants to add the rame of his <br />building to that wa11. Mr. Go1ey asked if there was any way to obtain a permanent agreement with <br />Mr. Paris about maintaining.that sign. - <br />Discussion was held regar:ding compliance with the sign ordinance. <br />Mr. Feneli said he wi11 check about the, ground sign and issue something in <br />writing. Recreation - Mr. Petschauer said the Village Halloween Party wi11 be held <br />Saturday, October 25, at 2 p.m. at Mayfield Activity Center. They wi11 <br />have a costume contest. The judges wi11 be: a representative of the <br />Historical Society, Garden C1ub, and Mayor Carmen.
