177 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayf ield Vi:L'lage. <br />December 15, 1986 <br />The Council of Mayfie'ld Vi:1'lage met in Regular Session on Monday, December <br />:I.S, 1986, at 8:08 p.ma in the Coianci'1 Chambers at the Vi'11age Ha'l:L. Counci:L <br />President Richard C. Etzler presided. <br />Ro'1'1 CalY: Present: Mr. BasiZe, Mr. Etzler, Mr. Flynn, Mr. Go:Ley, and <br />Mr. Petschauer <br />Absent : None. : A'lso Present Were . Mayor Carmen, Mr. Amendola, Mr. Fene'li, Mr. Hovancsek, <br />Mr. Toth, Ctiief Stevens, Acting Chief Mohr. <br />The P'ledge of A'1'legiance to the F'lag was given. <br />OPEN PORTION <br />Bi1'1 Wenger, 6722 Sanda:Lwood, said he understands Counci.'1 is going to consider <br />a variance that in effect would a'llow the expansion:..of the new SOM Sands <br />Deve'lopment to land that is presentl.y classified. as residentia'l.. He sees <br />this as a further and gradua:L expansior of the residential part of the Vi:L'lage. <br />He is very much against any consideration of variances which go beyond what <br />we have no control over. ' <br />Ann Boris, 6703 Sandalwood; said she is also against it. <br />Tom Datti'1'lo, 6705 Sanda:Ltaood, said he concurs with.Mr. Wenger and Ms. Boris. <br />Nancy Mascarenhas, 6714 Sanda'lwood, said at a special meeting they were a'1'1 <br />assured there was not going to be a variance, they were to:Ld there wou'ld be <br />no further char•.ges. _ <br />Mr. Etz'ler asked which meeting she was referring to. <br />Mr. Go'ley said he made a statement at that meeting regarding a commercial <br />drive on residential property. He a'lso said he was not aware of any p'lace <br />where we havE al'lowed a commercial drive on residentia:L property. <br />Nei:L Haffey, 6695 Sanda'lwood Drive, said he is in complete agreement with <br />his neighbors and what the Counci'lman just said. When'they were shown the <br />p1an, they were told there would be no further encroachment on Sanda'lwood <br />Drive from the one buff.er :Lot that's behind Honey Baked Ham. <br />Mr. Etzler c'larified-the.'lot.Mr. Haffey was referring to and said he be'lieves <br />that :Lot is completely unaffected. - <br />Mrs. Mascarenhas said they were assured of a buffer between residentia'1 <br />and the.commercial properties.
