14 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />1/22/90 <br />Page 6 <br />Mr. Ramos said he thought he would invite them to attend a meeting. <br />Mrs. Mills said she thinks that in addirion to Council, various committee members <br />(Architectural Review Board) should attend the meeting. <br />Mayor Carmen said he felt we must determine what direction we are heading. He said we <br />must be the primary people to determine what we want. He told Mr. Raxnos what he felt <br />should be included in the letter to the azchitects. <br />Mayor Carmen and Council deternuned that Mr. Ramos would ask the architectural firms to <br />meet with them on February 12 for about 40 minutes each, beginning at 7:30 p.m. <br />Picker X-Ray Occupancy Permit - Chief Mohr wrote a letter to Mayor Carmen and <br />the Building Commissioner stating they have satisfied the Fire Department's requirements. <br />He said he saw a signed purchase order. <br />Mayor Cazmen said he talked to Jeff Friedman about the proposal. He asked Mr. Ramos to <br />write a confirming letter as to what was agreed to. He said the issuance of the occupancy <br />permit was based on their meeting the Fire Chief s requirements. Therefore, the occupancy <br />permit should be issued. He said that it is separate from the other matters. He said that we <br />are holding up the use of the classroom at Picker until we receive a letter stating they will be <br />shipping people in. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Mayor Carmen said to tell them where the signs are to go. <br />Chief Mohr said it will be done tomorrow. <br />Chief Stevens said they can only enforce correct pazking in fire lanes on private property. <br />Mayor Carmen said that the Police Department should do a comprehensive traffic study. <br />He asked that it be placed on the April Council Caucus agenda. At that time, we could <br />discuss what we will do or not do based on the results of the study. <br />Mr. Flynn asked if they are meeting fire requirements regarding exits, etc. <br />Chief Mohr said they have plenty of exits; that is no problem. There are no problems <br />inside. They have complied with his signage requirements. <br />Police Car Bids - Mr. Ramos said that he has discussed this with Chief Stevens. He <br />suggested that Chief Stevens obtain informal bids from local dealers. He suggested that the <br />bids be due by February 5. <br />Mayor Carmen suggested that bids be due February lst because of the deadline to order a <br />car. This item could also be considered at the Special Meeting when recycling will be <br />considered.
