<br />Regular Council Meeting <br />2/22/90 <br />Page 3 <br />Finance -(cont.) Mr. Flynn said the Committee also recommends passage of the <br />ordinances for the Finance Director, Law Director, and Municipal Mechanic. Mr. Flynn <br />said they are holding on the Beecher's Brook retention proposal until information is <br />received from Mayor Carmen, the Engineer, and Law Director regarding who is <br />responsible and for what part of this project. Mr. Flynn said the committee recommends <br />passage of Ordinance 90-5. They also discussed Highland Road ditching and the Service <br />Deparnnent roof leaks. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Ferrante said there was no meeting. <br />Mrs. Mills said that she has a copy of a DARE film and information which she will get to <br />him. Historical Societv - Mrs. Cinco said she would like to turn the floor over to President Pat <br />Negrelli. <br />Mr. Plastine thanked the Village for the contribution it made last month. They aze going <br />ahead in March and will be starting on the interior. An architect is working on plans. The <br />first floor will date back to 1890. The Garden Club will be putting in shrubs. They will be <br />painting the house in the spring. <br />Mrs. Negrelli also expressed thanks for the contribution. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said they met February lst. The slate of 1990 officers will be <br />presented at the March lst meeting. Mrs. Cinco said she was appointed to the Advisory <br />Committee for the pool and field house. They are only supposed to hold 2 meetings a year <br />as necessary. Mrs. Cinco reported the facility is running smoothly and efficiently. There <br />are 15,003 pass holders; about 45 addirional people sign up weekly. They are receiving <br />good feedback. They will now be open on school holidays that aze not National holidays. <br />She said they are deciding how to re-do the passes in two years to monitor people moving <br />out of the school district. She said they have been discussing guests; it has been put on <br />hold. Mrs. Cinco said she would give Donna a list of the hours the facility is open. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mrs. Mills said they did not meet this month. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Pietrafese said the only item on the agenda was the variance that <br />Village Plaza would like for parking. He thinks the consensus is not to go ahead with the <br />variance. He said purchasing the golf course was also brought up. Mr. Pietrafese said that <br />at this time he does not think, as Dan stated, we are financially in a position to make that <br />purchase. <br />Mrs. Mills said that at the meeting last week they discussed a lot split on Lander and <br />clarification of the possibility of putring a delivery service on Beta. Drive. She said that Mr. <br />Amendola will see that we can do and that it will be discussed at Caucus. <br />
