ORDINANCE_ENACTING NEW <br />CHAPTER 751 OF TBE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VII.LAGE, <br />PERTAINIlVG TO THE SALE OF IIZRADIATED FOODS AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY." Iniroduced by Mayor Caimen and Council as a Whole. (First Reading <br />1/22/90) <br />EW BUSINE <br />Hospitalizarion Proposals - Mrs. Mills said Council is talking with insurance agents to <br />make sure we get the best hospitalization coverage for employees. She said the Finance <br />Committee has suggested that the Department Representatives attend the next Caucus. <br />Job-related Leave of Absence - Village Employees - Mrs. Cinco said she thinks the <br />information they received was collected by a Fire Department representative. She asked if <br />it was possible to have a representative from each departrnent attend the next Safety and <br />Service Meeting. They could review the proposal and see if this is what they want. <br />Mayor Carmen said that some employers have a disability insurance policy available. He <br />thinks maybe Council should ask a representative to come to a meeting to tallc about that <br />type of policy. <br />Conversion Street Lights - Mrs. Mills said that in light of the new information presented <br />tonight, Council will not make a decision this evening. <br />P1aYground Area Availabilitv - Mr. Pietrafese said that Mr. Ameridola gave him a new <br />catalog. He said the Recrearion Board would like to know what areas aze available to use <br />as a playground. <br />Mayor Camlen said he wonders if the Village should think of holding some new activities <br />in the Comrnunity Center. He said we could run movies, get pinball machines and an air <br />hockey table, etc. He said we might be able to have a supervised acrivity night mostly <br />geared toward teenagers. He asked Mr. Pietrafese to bring tlus topic up to the Recreation <br />Committee. <br />Beaurification of Street Entrances in Coordinarion with Home Owners Association - Mr. <br />Rinker said that the Worton Park/Pinetree Home Owners Association had circulated a flier <br />asking for contributions from their residents. He does not know what the response has <br />been to date. <br />Force Main RQair on Wilson Mills - Mr. Hovancsek said that the repair is completed <br />except for the seeding and restorarion which will be done in the spring. <br />Left-turn Arrows for Traffic Si " - Wilson Mills and S.O.M. - Mr. Hovancsek said that <br />he has contacted the County..and-has written to the Ohio Department.of Transportation <br />about this indicating that we would tie submitt'ing a drawing. He said that the Village needs <br />the approval of the Ohio Department of Transportation before any modification of the <br />signals can be made. Mr. Hovancsek said that he should hear back from them in several <br />weeks and then we can move forward with the project.
