She asked what Council needs to do.
?
Mr. Hovancsek requested authorization to advertise for bids.
Mayor Carmen said he would give authorization.
Aintree North - Dale Feneli - Mrs. Mills said this item has been referred back to the Caucus.
Mr. Pietrafese asked why Mr. Feneli was called to a meeting when no one was here.
Mayor Carmen said he thought Council had wanted to ask him for his opinion about the potential
for (winning) litigarion in the Aintree area.
Discussion was held.
Mayor Carmen said the genesis of the problem occurred before he and Council were in off'ice, with
the possible exceprion of Mr. Flynn. He explained that there was no sure way to determine if we
could win the lawsuit.
Further discussion was held about whose responsibility it is when an area is developed.
, Mayor Carmen said that $25,000 has been offered and he felt Council should decide whether they
-- wili or will not take action. The only string attached to the $25,000 is that we walk away from the
? potenrial of suing them.
? Mrs. Mills asked if documentation could be prepared.
Mayor Catmen explained that documentarion would not be drafted until a decision is made to
accept the monies.
Mr. Pietrafese commented that we enabled them to show a profit of $490,000 for lots sold.
Mrs. Mills refened this item to the next Council Caucus.
Expenditures for Employee Incentive Program - Mrs. Mills said she would like to discuss this in
Executive Session.
Mayor Carmen said that was not a matter that could be discussed in an Execurive Session; Mr.
Ramos concurred.
Mrs. Mills said she feels that some of us are concerned about the program. She said because of the
number of employees we have that it becomes difficult to choose employees on a weekly basis.
Mrs. Mills said it seems that we should cut back on this to once a month.
Mr. Ferrante said that he judged last week and that 2 departments had not submitted anyone.
! Mayor Carmen said that one of the things we have had a problem with is getting nominations from
, departments but he feels that is not a valid reason not to have the program.
