<br />Regular Council Meeting <br />4/16/90 <br />Page 8 <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a morion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 90-18 <br />Mrs. Cinco asked if Chief Stevens has read the ordinance. <br />Chief Stevens said no. <br />Mr. Flynn, seeonded by Mr. Rinker, made a morion to table Ordinance No. 90-18. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES : All <br />NAYS: None Motion Canied <br />Ordinance Tabled <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 90-19, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ENACTING NEW <br />SECTION 521.081 OF TBE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO <br />PROHIBITING POLLUTION OF WATERWAYS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." <br />Iniroduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />This ordinance will be discussed at the next Caucus. <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 90-20, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ENACTING NEW CHAPTER 903 OF TBE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VII,LAGE, OHIO <br />PERTAINING TO SIDEWALK MAINTENANCE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." <br />Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Ramos said that he would like Mr. Amendola to comment on this ordinance when he returns. <br />Resolution No. 90-26, enritled; "A RESOLUTION URGING TBE CONGRESS OF TBE <br />UNTTED STATES TO EXERCISE TIHEIR POWERS TO SAVE TBE 107TH ARMORED <br />CAVALRY REGIlVIENT OF THE, NATIONAL GUARD." Introciuced by Mayor Carmen and <br />Council as a Whole. <br />Mayor Carmen said the only reason he quesrions this is is because they are irying to balance the <br />Federal budget. He thinks considerarion should be made as whether this unit is essential. <br />Chief Stevens said the services performed by the Narional Guard are invaluable. He does not <br />know of any other agency that could pick up on the services they provide. The next closest <br />Narional Guard is located in Cincinnati. <br />Mayor Cannen said he does not intend to undermine the services of the National Guard. <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 90-26. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES : All <br />NAYS: None ' Morion Carried <br />, Resolution Adopted
