Qrj <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />5/21/90 <br />Page 8 <br />Mayor Carmen asked if Council would authorize by morion the expenditures previously set forth <br />for Village Days (for floats, balloons, fireworks.) He said there are other miscellaneous expenses <br />for tents, a sound system, and entertainment, etc. <br />Mr. Rinker made a motion to authorize the expenditures and other miscellaneous expenditures as <br />noted. <br />Mr. Pietrafese seconded the morion with the conringency that Mayor Carmen confer with Council a <br />little ahead of time in the futwe. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Mrs. Mills said that most Council members would like to help to plan the event. <br />Mr. Pietrafese said he would like to be part of the Village Days planning in the future. <br />Mr. Rinker said they would like to receive more informarion up front; they receive part of the <br />informarion belatedly. <br />Mr. Flynn suggested that this be discussed in Execurive Session. <br />Mayor Carmen said that if everyone wants to get involved with the work in putting Village Days <br />together that he would love to see all of Council on the Village Days Committee. <br />Mr. Basile suggested that more committee meerings be held. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Morion Carried <br />Expenditures Authorized <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 90-22, entided; "AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO ENTER INTO T'HE NECESSARY <br />COOPERATION AGREEMENTS WITH TBE STATE OF OHIO DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION FOR TBE REPAIl2 AND RESURFACING OF S.O.M. CENTER ROAD <br />FROM.52 MII.,ES NORTH OF THE SOUTH CORPORATION LINE TO TBE <br />CUYAHOGA/LAKE COUNTY LINE, FURTHER AUTHORIZING TBE MAYOR TO MAKE <br />APPLICATION TO USE COUNTY MOTOR VEHICLE TAX FUNDS TO FUND A PORTION <br />OF TI-IE AFORESAID IMPROVEMENTS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced <br />by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Rinker, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an <br />ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Morion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br /> <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Rinker, made a morion to enact Ordinance No. 90-22.
