<br />Regular Council Meeting <br />6/18/90 <br />Page 3 <br />Finance - Mr. Flynn said they met this evening. The Committee recommends that Council move <br />ahead with the following: Ordinance No. 90-26, 90-27, 90-28, and 90-29. They suggest placing <br />Resolution 90-38 on first reading; input is needed. The Committee recommends approval of the <br />following resolutions: 90-39, 90-40, 90-41, and 90-42. There will be a Tax Budget Hearing prior <br />to the next meering. Mr. Flynn said that the Cornmittee discussed Dan's letter re public purchases <br />and that it has been referred to Ordinance Review. The purchase of Cavaliers tickets will require <br />further resulring of the minds. Mills will contact the two architectural firms and have them get back <br />to Council with something in wriring regarding the municipal complex study. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Ferrante said there was no report. <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Cinco said an Ice Cream Social will be held September 12 at 6:30 p.m. <br />The Quilt Show drawing will be held October 14. Council people are selling raffle tickets. <br />Mrs. Mills said the raffle rickets are $1 each and that the quilt is beauriful. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said that all the programs are full this summer. No meetings will be held <br />in July or August. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mrs. Mills said the next meering will be held on June 27 at <br />7:30 p.m. at Village Hall. <br />Plannin,g and Zoning - Mr. Basile said there was no report. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Pietrafese said their next meering will be this Wednesday. He expressed <br />thanks to Gus Amendola for getting the ball fields in playable condition. <br />Safetv and Service - Mrs. Cinco said they discussed the following items at the June 4 meeting: <br />Copy machine for the Service Department, the vehicles and equipment being advertised for the <br />Service Department, and the condition of the baseball fields. The Fire Department will be doing <br />research about the cost of false alarms. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Gazebo - Mayor Carmen said that he spoke to Mr. Amendola last Wednesday. They have finalized <br />the plans for the gazebo. It is in the budget. Mr. Amendola is in the process of getting the <br />required materials. The complerion is targeted for Labor Day. Mayor Carmen said he hopes to <br />receive a significant amount of donations toward the gazebo. <br />Mr. Patrick announced that the "Buy-a-Brick" program still exists. Bricks may be purchased for <br />$1. <br />Mrs. Mills asked when the fireworks will be held. <br />Mayor Carmen said that he has had several different ideas regarding events to be held in <br />conjunction with the fireworks. One thought is to do a 50's cnlise night and hold the fireworks <br />that night as well. Another thought is to hold a clambake in the fall, or to have the fireworks in <br />conjunction with the opening of the gazebo during Labor Day.
