/33 <br />NIINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village <br />August 6, 1990 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met in Special Session on Monday, August 6, 1990, at 8:17 p.m. <br />in the Council Chambers at the Mayfield Village Hall. Council President Patsy Mills presided. <br />Present: Mr. Basile, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Flynn, Mrs. Mills, Mr. Pietrafese, <br />and Mr. Rinker <br />Absent: None <br />Also Present: Mayor Carmen, Mr. Amendola, Mr. Hovancsek, Chief Mohr, Mr. Patrick, <br />Mr. Ramos, and Miss Heath. <br />Mrs. Mills said that this special meeting was called to consider the bids received for a leaf hopper. <br />Third Reading of Resolution No. 90-43, entided; "A RESOLUTION DECLARING OLD <br />DONIINION BRUSH TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR TBE PURCHASE OF <br />A TWENTY-FIVE CUBIC YARD HOPPER LEAF COLLECTOR IN CURRENT <br />PRODUCTION IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTEEN THOUSAND THREE <br />HiJNDRED NINETY-FTVE DOLLARS ($18,395.00), AUTHORIZING TBE MAYOR AND <br />PRESIDENT OF COUNCII. TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />EQUIPMENT, REJECTING ALL OTBER BIDS RECEIVED AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. (First Reading 6/27/90, <br />Second Reading 7/16/90.) <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Rinker, made a motion to adopt Resolurion No. 90-43. <br />Roll Call: AYES: None <br />NAYS: Mr. Basile, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Flynn, Mrs. Mills, <br />Mr. Pietrafese, Mr. Rinker <br />Motion Not Carried <br />Resolution Failed <br />First Readin,g of Resolurion No. 90-51, entided; "A RESOLUTION DECLARING JONES <br />EQUIPMENT COMPANY TO BE TBE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR TBE PURCHASE <br />OF A TWENTY-FIVE CUBIC YARD HOPPER LEAF COLLECTOR IN CURRENT <br />PRODUCTION IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWENTY-THREE THOUSAND FIVE <br />HUNDRED FORTY DOLLARS ($23,540.00), AUTHORIZING TBE MAYOR AND <br />PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO EXECUTE A PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />EQUIPMENT, REJECTING ALL OTBER BIDS RECEIVED AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring a <br />resolution to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended
