Mr. Ramos said that since the expenditure will be over $2,500, three informal bids must be <br />obtained. <br />Mr. Amendola explained that the item was included in the budget last year but was not purchased. <br />Mayor Cazmen asked if there are any other companies that provide this same or similar equipment. <br />Mr. Amendola said not to his knowledge. <br />Mayor Cardnen explained that if there are other companies that make this equipment that we will <br />need to obtain informal bids to be sure we are getting the best price. <br />Mr. Amendola said that this piece of equipment is manufactured by the company since it is for <br />their own product. <br />Mrs. Cinco said another item they wanted to discuss tonight was the purchase of lawn mowers. <br />Mr. Amendola said the present equipment is 6 years old. Sales aze starting now; and he feels he <br />will get a good buy. He will try to obtain other prices if Council wishes. The total bill will be <br />$3,400. <br />Mayor Carmen asked Mr. Amendola to check prices and obtain 3 informal bids before the Regular <br />Council Meeting. <br />Beechers Brook Pond - Mr. and Mrs Bell 910 Beecher Brook Road and Mr. Jones 902 <br />Beechers Brook Road were in the audience. Mr. Rinker said the residents had contacted him <br />regazding the pond in their back yazds that runs between their property and I-271. This year they <br />have noticed for the first time that water is stagnating and it is about 16" below its usual level. The <br />residents have stocked the lake with fish. Geese, turtles, and other wildlife stop at that spot <br />frequently. <br />1VIr. Hovancsek said that Mayfield Heights recendy put in a sanitary trunk sewer on Ridgebury <br />Boulevard which might have disrupted some of the aquaf'irs in that area which may cause a <br />temporary situation like this. He explained that the water will eventually go back to where it was <br />before and that it should be back to where it was by this time next year. <br />1Vlayor Carmen and Council asked Mr. Hovancsek to check out the situarion and to see what type <br />of short-term solution the Village can offer to help the residents.
