143 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />8/20/90 <br />Page 7 <br />NEW BUSINESS. <br />Fire Station Painting - Chief Mohr reported that bids are due on August 31. <br />Repair of Front Stairs at Villa,ge Hall - Mr. Amendola said he had only received informal bids to <br />provide Council with information for discussion at Safety/Service. He will prepaze specifications <br />if Council wishes. <br />Mrs. Cinco said that the Safety/Service Committee are still discussing what to do. <br />Hvdraulic Lift - Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Rinker, made a motion to approve the purchase <br />Purchase of hydra.ulic lift from Lake Truck Sales not to exceed $3,000. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />Police Radio Equipment - Mayor Carmen and Chief Stevens have not discussed this recently., <br />Street Striping Bids - Mr. Hovancsek said that we received the bids last week. Two bids were <br />received: Aero Mazk -$10,270.55, and Neat Line -$11,929.83. Mr. Hovancsek said that <br />he has not worked with them, but Highland Heights has been using them for the last 4 years and <br />are satisfied with their work. Based on that, he recommends the contract be awarded to the lowest <br />bidder, Aero Mark. <br />Mr. Ramos;said that if Council wished, they could pass legislation in title this evening. He <br />recommended it be done at the end of "New Business." <br />Snow Plowing Bids - Miss Heath said the bids are due August 31. <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 90-34, enritled; "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION <br />509.08 OF TBE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, REGARDING <br />CiJRFEW OF MINORS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen <br />and Council as a Whole. <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring <br />an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 90-34. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />Mrs. Cinco requested that Donna send a copy of the legislation to the High School, to Dr. Stabile, <br />and to the Alcohol Awareness Group at the High School.
