<br />Izegular Council Meeting <br />October 15, 1990 <br />Page 4 <br />Upper Fortv - Mr. Hovancsek said he met with representatives from the Metropolitan Park and <br />Burgess and Niple on October 5. They discussed the problems at length. The Metropolitan Pazk <br />representatives indicated internal meetuigs had been held and they should have survey data on the <br />existing system. They want to look at four options. Mr. Hovancsek said they feel the Village <br />should pay for an engineering study to be done. Mr. Hovancsek said he wrote a letter to Mayor <br />Carmen recommending the Village retain Burgess and Niple to do the study at this time. <br />Mayor Cannen will make copies of Mr. Hovancsek's letter (re the options) for Council. <br />Mr. Rinker asked how comprehensive the study would be. <br />Mr. Hovancsek it would be a quick preliminary study to deterrrune the costs of various options. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said he recommends the Village have a consultant do the study to show good faith. <br />Mr. Pietrafese asked if we should try another company. <br />Mayor Carmen said he is concerned at this point and feels we should obtain bids from other <br />vendors. <br />Council agreed. <br />Mrs. Mills asked if the Village could receive the bids by November 5. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said yes. <br />Drainage Repair - Oakwood Drive - Mrs. Mills said Mr. Amendola has advised her that the work is <br />underway. <br />Draina e Surve,y - 6965 Wilson Mills - Mr. Hovancsek and Mr. Amendola will look at the <br />property. Mr. Amendola will obtain a price from a contractor to channel the area out. <br />Administrative Assistant - Mayor Carmen said the position needs filled. He said Susan will be on <br />maternity leave for several weeks and the employee will also help Finance. Mayor Carmen said <br />Chief Mohr could use clerical help and we need help with a number of various projects. <br />Mrs. Cinco said the rate seems high. <br />Mayor Carmen said we will look at adjusting the rate. <br />Berm Work on Wil on Mills - Mrs. Mills asked Council for their opinion on the bids received. <br />The bids were: $11,450 Wholesale Builders and $11,375 Bland Inc. <br />Discussion was held. <br />1Vlayor Carmen said since the bids are over $10,000 formal bids would be necessary. He asked <br />Mr. Hovancsek to call the lowest bidder to see if they would adjust their price (to under $10,000.) <br /> <br /> <br />
