7 99 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />10/15/90 <br />Page 3 <br />Mrs. Cinco reported that the hiring of a firefighter and the incinerator ordinance will be discussed <br />at the Ordinance Review Committee. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Confirmation of Pat Deazden as Police Sergeant - Mr. Pietrafese, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a <br />motion to confirm Pat Dearden as Police Sergeant. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Canied <br />Appointment Confumed <br />Mayor Carmen said that Sgt Dearden was sworn in Wednesday. He said that Pat was very active <br />in the committee program recendy implemented. He administered the oath of office to Pat Dearden <br />as Police Sergeant. <br />Gazebo Ceremony Undate - Mayor Carmen said the dedication ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. after <br />the Halloween Party (4-6 p.m.) He said that items to be placed in a time capsule will be accepted <br />that night. The capsule will be buried near the gazebo. <br />Storm Water Assistance - Mr. Hovancsek said they sent a supplemental proposal Friday. The fee <br />was $24,000 which is less that Burgess and Niple. Based on that, he recommends that Council <br />award the contract to URS. <br />Mayor Carmen said he was concerned about what the Village would have to do. <br />Mr. Hovancsek estimated that the work to be done by the Village would be $5-6,000. <br />Discussiori was held. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said they are talking about a 6-month time frame. <br />Mrs. Mills said the next step is to see what type of contract they will be presenring. <br />Mr. Ramos will contract them and draft a contract and prepare legislarion. <br />Mrs. Mills asked if Council wanted Mr. Ramos to go ahead. <br />Mr. Basile said he would like to see their references. <br />Council said yes. <br />Mr. Hovancsek will contact several references and submit a report at the next Caucus. Mr. <br />Hovancsek said they will detemune priority levels. <br />Mrs. Mills asked if this could be ready for Caucus and if Council could vote on it at the next <br />Council Meeting. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said yes.
