? 94 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />11/19/90 <br />Page Four <br />sent a detailed letter with his responses to the committee because he was unable to attend the <br />meeting. <br />Commission on Aging - Mrs. Mills said they are starting to plan their Christmas Party which will <br />be held in December. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Flynn said the committee met this evening. Ten items of "New <br />Business" and several items of "Old Business" were discussed. They discussed Ordinance No. <br />90-46, recommend passage of Ordinance No. 90-45, Resolutions 90-70, 90-71, 90-72, 90-73, <br />and recommend approval of the storage of financial informadon on tape medium (on the agenda.) <br />Mr. Flynn reported that the budget rates for 1991 are being sent to the Budget Commission. Mr. <br />Flynn said that they do not have any information at this time about the meeting between Department <br />Heads and the architectural fum. They are waiting on feedback from Mayor Carmen and the <br />Finance Director for 1991 encumbrances regarding the Fire Department staffing. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Ferrante said there was no report. <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Cinco reported that over 200 people attended the Turkey Raffle. A new <br />roof was put on the historical house in October. The proceeds from the Turkey Raffle nearly paid <br />for it. A Pot I.uck covered dish dinner will be held December 12 at the Gates Mills Community <br />Room at 7:30 p.m. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Rinker said the Committee talked about the Soccer Club. Their Annual Art Show was very much a success. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mrs. Mills said their last meeting was held October 29. There will <br />not be a meeting in December. She said they discussed the preliminary sewerage agreement with <br />the County Commissioners. Mr. Ramos will go over that. The Committee also discussed the <br />ordinances regarding smoking, incinerators, and lock boxes. Mrs. Mills said that Mr. Ramos will <br />comment on the lock box ordinance later. It is included on tonight's agenda under "Old Business." <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said that Fisher's Tavern came up with a drawing showing 60 <br />parking spaces which is 13 spaces short. Progressive is planning to go ahead with another <br />building. Mr. Basile said the Village is still conversing with Gates Mills about Village Trails. <br />Recreation - Mr. Pietrafese said the Boazd met October 10. They discussed the mediocre success <br />of their baseball card show. He expressed thanks to Mrs. Mills for handling all the food. Mr. <br />Pietrafese said the Board discussed the 5 Mile Run and 2 Mile Walk. Over 200 people participated; <br />the proceeds will be given to the Debbie Hudacko Scholazship Fund. T'he Halloween Party <br />combined with the Gazebo Dedication on October 21 was a great success. Mr. Pietrafese said Mr. <br />Fixler obtained approval from the School Boazd to get the fields at Center School repaired. He <br />said the Board agreed to put $2000 toward the refurbishing of the fields and made a motion not to <br />exceed $1,000 for four benches for these fields. Mr. Pietrafese reported the fields at Center <br />School are almost completed. (See Recrearion Minutes for a complete report.) <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Cinco said the Committee met November 5. T'he Fire Department talked <br />about the repair of the overhead doors. The Ordinance Review Committee to investigate. T'he <br />Service Department has requesteri that a gate be installed so non-authorized people cannot add <br />refuse to their bin.
