?141, <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />1/23/89 <br />Page 4 <br />Recreation - Mr. Santoro said the Board met January 18 and elected <br />the following 1989 officials: <br />Jane Petschauer, Chairman <br />Terry Santoro, Secretary <br />Thomas,Derkacs, Treasurer <br />Mr. Santoro reported that the Recreation Board would be sending <br />out flyers regarding the Men's Over 30 basketball league and for <br />softball sign-up. <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Mills said that they had not had a <br />meeting. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Aintree North Drainage - Mayor Carmen said that there will be a <br />meeting in his office Wednesday morning with Mr. Cattichio <br />regarding this matter. <br />Drainage - North Side of Highland Road - Mr. Ramos reported that <br />he had sent information to Rusty Roseback of Sunrise Development <br />and that he is hoping to receive a response this week. <br />All Terrain Vehicles - Mr. Ramos said that he has reviewed <br />legislation that other communities have and that they have the <br />same basic legislation we have. He said that the only thing we <br />can do is to regulate them, we can't prohibit them. However, we <br />could prohibit them during certain hours. <br />High Band Frequency Communications System - Chief Stevens said <br />that there was no new news and they are still trying to figure out <br />how much they are going to cost. <br />Beech Hill Pump Station Overflow - Mr. Wolszynek said that the <br />Sewer District was supposed to submit a letter approximately two <br />weeks after their last meeting; it hasn't been received to date. <br />Mr. Flynn requested that if we do not receive the letter within <br />another week that Mr. Hovancsek's office call them or send another <br />letter. <br />Traffic LiQht - Raleigh Drive - Mr. Wolszynek said they will be <br />submitted at the end of this week; the traffic engineer is out of <br />town. <br />GaZebruncti - Mayor Carmen said that it was a very successful <br />event. In excess of 400 peoiple were served. Jeff Shibley and <br />Yours Truly donated $2,000 to Mayfield Village for the gazebo <br />project. Mayor Carmen thanked the Councilpeople who attended and <br />expressed thanks to the media for their excellent announcements of <br />the event. He said that we will have more fund-raisers and that <br />he expects construction on the gazebo to begin in late spring or <br />early summer.
