- ?? Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Santoro, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. Roll Call: AYES: Mr. Basile, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. F1ynn, Mrs. Mills, - Mr. Rinker, and Mr. Santoro NAYS: Mr. Petschauer Motion Carried Rules Suspended Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 89-4. Mr. Ramos said that the additional compensation would be $50/month. Mr. Rinker said that it is his understanding that every other community has their Council President receiving more. Mr. Ramos explained why this charter amendment was necessary to allow the President of Counc.i.l to receive additional compensation. Roll Call: AYES: Mr. Basile, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Flynn, Mrs. Mills, Mr. Rinker, and Mr. Santoro - NAYS: Mr. Petschauer Motion Carried Ordinance Enacted First Reading of Ordinance No. 89-5, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE COMPENSATION OF THE MAYOR, SUBMITTING TO THE ELECTORATE FOR APPROVAL, PROVIDING FOR ALL NECESSARY PROCEDURES IN CONNECTION THEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Councilmembers Basile, Cinco, Flynn, Mills, Rinker, and Santoro. Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Sanotor, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions.
