C; <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />3/20/89 <br />Page 2 ' <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Chief Mohr said that they hope to receive the new fire truck by <br />October. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said that he and Mr. Amendola reviewed the roads. He has <br />prepared a preliminary report which he will submit to Mayor Carmen this <br />evening. <br />TANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola said the Board approved one <br />single family dwelling at their last meeting. Four drawings for <br />home additions were rejected for lack of proper information. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said that there was no requirement for <br />a meeting. <br />Cemetery - Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Commission on Aging - Mrs. Cinco said she will be attending the meeting <br />on Wednesday. <br />Finance - Mr. Flynn said the Committee met this evening. They <br />recommend passage of the following legislation: Ordinances 89-11, 89- <br />12, and 89-13. They discussed the implementation of the Burgess and <br />Niple drainage study. Further discussion is needed between Mr. <br />Hovancsek, Mr. Ramos, Mr. Patrick, and Mayor Carmen because they <br />received an ordinance from Shaker Heights. The Finance Commi ttee <br />recommends suspension and passage of Resolution No. 89-4 this evening. <br />Mr. Flynn said that the Law Director will be preparing legislation for <br />the SPAN dues and that it can be passed at the next regular meeting. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mrs. Cinco said that she received a <br />notice on the 16th about a meeting this Saturday. She said that <br />because of the short notice that she was unable to attend and asked if <br />anyone else could attend. No one else was able to attend the meeting. <br />Historical Society - Mrs. Cinco said that Mr. Plastine had already <br />reportede <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco reported that the following slate of officers was <br />presented at the last meeting: <br />Bill Sopko President <br />Sam Paternite, Jr. Vice President <br />Bill Shaylor Secretary/Treasurer <br />She said that an extensive discussion about soccer was held. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mrs. Mills said there was no meeting this <br />month.
