764, <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />4/17/89 <br />Page 14 Mr. Amendola said that Mr. Hovancsek had contacted C.E.I. We will have <br />positive drainage to the freeway; they were able to tilt the flow and that <br />matter was taken care of. <br />Mr. Petschauer asked if the choosing of a Fair Housing Committee could be <br />placed on the May Council Caucus agenda. <br />Mr. Basile said that he did not understand the purpose of discussing this <br />again but that he will include the item on the May Caucus agenda. <br />Mr. Flynn said that he thinks our time would be better spent being good <br />Council members and attending meetings like we should. <br />Mr. Petschauer said he thinks we should look into legislation in terms of <br />further development goals: He thinks that negative comments were made <br />regarding this area and thinks a negative mentality is reported on this <br />Council by an elected official. Mr. Petschauer said he thinks we need to <br />look at the further development of a positive mentality expressed by our <br />residents. He thinks the purpose of putting this item on the agenda is to <br />meaningfully and positively look at the resolution and to develop it. <br />Mayor Carmen said that every Councilperson has the right to include items <br />on the Caucus agenda and that Caucus is the place to discuss this further. <br />Mr. Rinker? said he thinks it might be a good idea to _follow up the <br />legislation with committee. <br />Mr. Petschauer apologized for not being at the last Council Caucus and <br />said he was out of the country. <br />Mr. Amendola asked Council about getting another company to service our <br />HVAC system. He said he had received informal bids for this item which <br />are under $2,000. <br />Mayor Carmen asked Mr. Amendola to present the figures to the Finance <br />Committee. <br />Mr. Amendola said that he had received informal bids for resurfacing of <br />the Village Hall and Service Building parking lots. <br />Mayor Carmen asked Mr. Amendola to refer that'-item to the Safety and <br />Service Committee. <br />Mr. Amendola said that the golf green was not included in the dollars to <br />be spent. _ <br />Mayor Carmen said that we must decide about how that will impact Village <br />Days. a <br />Mayor Carmen asked if Council would authorize the purchase of a facsimile <br />machine.
