?
Regular Council Meeting
5/15/89
Page 4
Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Basile said there was no meeting this
month.
Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said the Commission approved the site
plan for Euclid Industries and that he believes they are going to go
ahead with their facility.
Recreation - Mr. Petschauer said that their next meeting will be held
this Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Community Room.
Safety and Service - Mrs. Mills said they talked about the work on new
service road. Mr. Amendola said they started work today. Mrs. Mills
said she would like to amend the agenda to include the advertisement
for (3) bids for a pick-up truck, EMS equipment, and pagers. She said
they discussed the new municipal center and its location.
Mayor Carmen said that he will authorize the advertisement for bids for
these items and that Mr. Amendola had advised him that two heavy duty
pick-up trucks are needed. We wiii be trading in the truck that was
purchased last year and purchasing 2 pick-up trucks.
OLD BUSINESS
Highland Road Drainage - Mr. Ramos said that he has not heard from
Rusty Roseback of Forest City. He said that they had indicated they
would want to share the cost with the adjacent property owners.
Mr. Hovancsek will submit a revised estimate. He had received an
estimate of $10,000 about a year ago.
Commuter Airline at Count_y Airport - Mr. Basile said that apparently
the County Commissioners felt we should have the commuter airline.
Mrs. Cinco said it sounds like they will be monitoring it and asked if
there was something we should do.
Mayor Carmen said that Richmond Heights is the most affected area but
that we are in the glide path, a secondary area, and that the danger to
us is less. Mayor Carmen said since they are trying the commuter
airline for a year to see what happens that we should poll our
residents to see if they experience any problems with noise, etc'. He
said that should give us a better idea what to do when the re-
evaluation comes up.
Berms at Bikeway and SOM - Mr. Hovancsek said that he submitted a cost
estimate and print to the Ohio Department of Transportation. They will
give us instructions about how to process this project. The project
will be 100% federally funded.
Mr. Rinker asked if a timetable had been prepared.
