IL qJ ? <br />MINUTES OF A PUBLIC HEARING OF COUNCIL <br />Mayfield Village <br />August 21, 1989 <br />The Council of Mayfield Village met on Monday, August 21, 1989, at 7:47 <br />p.m., in the Council Chambers at the Mayfield Village Hall prior to <br />their Regular Meeting of Council for the purpose of conducting a Public <br />Hearing. Council President Santo Basile presided. <br />Roll Call: Present: Mr. Basile, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Flynn, Mrs. Mills, <br />Mr. Rinker (7:54) <br />Absent : Mr. Petschauer, and Mr. Santoro <br />Also Present Were : Mr. Amendola, Mr. Patrick, Mr. Ramos, and <br />Miss Heath <br />Mr. Basile said the Public Hearing was called to consider the following <br />ordinances: 89-23, 89-24, 89-25, 89-26, and 89-27, which will be on <br />the November ballot. <br />Mr. Ramos said that these are the same five ordinances that were on the <br />May ballot that were not passed by the electorate. He explained that <br />whenever the Planning and Zoning Code is amended we must have three <br />separate readings and a Public Hearing. Then after they are passed by <br />Council, they must be submitted to the electorate for approval. Mr. <br />Ramos said the legislation must be submitted to the electorate by <br />September 8, 1989. <br />Ordinance No. 89-23, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1173 OF <br />THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, PERTAINING TO <br />PERMITTED USES AND AREA REGULATIONS IN THE MOTORIST SERVICE, OFFICE- <br />LABORATORY AND PRODUCTION-DISTRIBUTION DISTRICTS AND REPEALING ALL <br />ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and the <br />Entire Council. <br />Mr. Basile and Mr. Ramos said that passage of this issue will not <br />affect Ken's Auto Body. It was approved by Council as a Special Permit <br />Use (U-6 permit.) <br />Ordinance No. 89-24, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1153.01 <br />OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, DELETING <br />REFERENCE TO THE TWO (2) CLASSES OF HEIGHT DISTRICTS AND AMENDING <br />SECTION 1181.01 AND 1181.02 PERTAINING TO HEIGHT LIMITS AND REPEALING <br />ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and <br />the Entire Council. <br />Mr. Ramos explained that passage of this issue would delete reference <br />to the H-1 and H-2 districts pertaining to zoning maps. It would not <br />change the height permitted; we would still maintain a 35' height <br />district. He said it is a housekeeping ordinance.
