<br />Regular Council Meeting <br />8/21/89 <br />Page 10 <br />Mr. Ramos said that the Executive Sessions are mainly for discussion. <br />No votes are taken. He said that the Village has followed the Ohio <br />Revised Code for the past 10-15 years but because of a recent Supreme <br />Court decision the Village must make an amendment to its Charter to be <br />allowed to conduct Executive Sessions according to the Ohio Revised <br />Code. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 89-30, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE <br />SUBMITTING TO THE ELECTORATE OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, FIVE (5) <br />ORDINANCES AMENDING OR REPEALING THE PLANNING AND ZONING CODE OF <br />MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, PROVIDING FOR ALL NECESSARY PROCEDURES IN <br />CONNECTION THEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor <br />Carmen and the Entire Council. <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules <br />of Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Al1 <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to enact Ordinance <br />No. 89-30. <br />Mr. Ramos said this ordinance sets the procedure for the 5 ordinances <br />that make changes to the Planning and Zoning code. This ordinance will <br />be sent to the Board of Elections with ordinances 89-23 - 27 so they <br />can be placed on the ballot. Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />Mr. Basile asked Mr. Amendola and Mr. Wolszynek if they had any items <br />for discussion and said they could be excused. <br />Mr. Amendola said that two bids for additional street lighting in the <br />Aintree/Derby area have been received. He said if it is going to be <br />done, it should be done now. One bid was from R& D Trenching Co. in <br />the amount of $4,450.00. The lower bid was from Pomplio Suglia <br />Trenching in the amount of $4,350.00. He recommended the lowest bid be <br />accepted. <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Rinker, made a motion to accept the bid from <br />Pomplio Suglia Trenching in the amount of $4,350.00 for the additional <br />street lighting work at Aintree, Derby, and Hunt Circle.
