??? Regular Council Meeting 8/21/89 Page 16 . Mr. Ramos said that this ordinance must be referred to Planning and Zoning, They must make a recommendation and refer it back to Council. If it is passed by Council, it must be voted on. Mr. Ramos said that the legislation will have to be given three separate readings. He said it probably couldn't be placed on the ballot until May 1990 unless Council wants to authorize a special election. Mr. Flynn asked Mr. Patrick to find out the cost of a special election. First Reading of Resolution No. 89-56, entitled; "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO MAKE PAYMENT TO MOTOROLA, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE THOUSAND,EIGHT HUNDRED FORTY DOLLARS ($3,840.00) FOR THE PURCHASE OF TEN (10) PAGERS FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions.
