<br /> <br />._.7' <br /> <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />8/21/89 <br />Page 17 <br />First Reading of Resolution 89-58, entitled; "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING <br />THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO MAKE PAYMENT TO PARADE FLOAT BUILDERS FOR <br />THE RENTAL OF THREE (3) FLOATS FOR THE 1989 VILLAGE HOMEDAYS AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a <br />Whole. <br />Mr. Santoro, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules <br />of Council requiring a resolution to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Santoro, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to adopt Resolution <br />No. 89-58. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Resolution No. 89-59, entitled; "A RESOLUTION URGING THE OHIO GENERAL <br />ASSEMBLY TO ENACT APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION TO SAFEGUARD THE <br />TRANSPORTATION OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and <br />Council as a Whole. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to adopt Resolution <br />No. 89-59. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 89-33, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ENACTING <br />NEW CHAPTER 749 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE FOR <br />REGULATION OF RECOVERY COSTS FOR EMERGENCY ACTIONS." Introduced by <br />Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Ramos said that this legislation will take care of spills, etc. He <br />said the procedure we must follow is set by State law. <br />Mr. Flynn asked if Council would approve payment to the Lake County <br />Hazardous Materials Team for reimbursement for the items damaged in the <br />incident. He said he would like to refer the legislation to Caucus. <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Rinker,- made a motion to authorize <br />reimbursement to the Lake County Hazardous Materials Team in the amount <br />of $2,270.06, for items damaged in the August 3, 1989, hazardous <br />materials incident at 984 Woodlane Drive. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized
