Regular Council Meeting
8/21/89
Page 21
Angelo Basilone, 6808 Bramblewood, asked what was going at SOM/Highland
regarding the dredging and clearing of the property near the old house. '
He asked the cost of the 12 signs and expressed concern regarding
Ordinance 89-29 that it would be misused.
Mayor Carmen said the signs would cost about $8,000 total.
Mr. Rinker said we must follow State statutes regarding Ordinance No.
89-29.
Norma Bascone, 6808 Bramblewood Lane - asked how much was made at
Village Days.
Mayor Carmen said that all bills have not been paid so we don't have an
accurate accounting. Traditionally, we either break even or make or
lost $1,000.
Mr. Patrick said that many bills were just approved this evening so he
does not have a complete accounting at this time.
Elma Winkle - asked if the gazebo was aesthetically proper. She felt
there was insufficient room around it. Mrs. Winkle said she felt it
? was inappropriate and would not enhance the intersection at all.
Mayor Carmen said everyone else he has talked to thought the gazebo
would enhance the intersection. He said that band concerts and various
other activities could be held in the gazebo.
There being no further business, Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Basile,
made a motion to adjourn.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
The meeting adourned at 10:50 p.m.
Motion Carried
