Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to suspend the rules <br />of Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Rinker, made a motion to enact Ordinance <br />No. 89-38. <br />Mr. Ramos explained that a bike path is to be used exclusively for <br />bicycles. Since our path is used by pedestrians and joggers as well as <br />cyclists, it was determined that it will be called a"trail" so that <br />there will be no question regarding compliance with Federal and State <br />regulations. <br />Mrs. Mills asked about the signs. <br />Chief Stevens said the signs were ordered but have not been received. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Al1 <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 89-39, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE REPEALING <br />SECTION 137.02 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />PERTAINING TO THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT SERVICE DIRECTOR AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY." <br />Mr. Basile suggested this ordinance remain on first reading. <br />Mr. Flynn suggested the ordinance be discussed at the next Caucus.
