„ <br />jl ?j tJ <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />9/18/89 <br />Page 3 <br />Commission on Aging - Mrs. Mills said they are planning a tour in <br />October to visit various churches in the area and are also planning a <br />trip on the Nautica. The Commission on Aging Christmas Party will be <br />held on December 16 in the Community Room. <br />Fair Housing Committee - Mr. Petschauer said there was no report. <br />Finance Committee - Mr. Flynn said the committee met this evening. <br />He said he would like Mr. Patrick to talk about Ordinance No. 89-40. <br />Mr. Patrick explained the requirement for the fiscal officer's <br />certificate and the ordinance relative to authority for the fiscal <br />officer regarding notes to be sold. He said this is under advisement <br />of Village bond counsel Squires, Sanders, and Dempsey. <br />Mr. Flynn said the Finance Committee requests that Council approve <br />Resolution No. 89-62. They need to know the amounts regarding <br />Resolution No. 89-52. <br />Mr. Patrick said the amendment is to change the dollar amount about <br />$700. <br />Mr. Flynn said they need more of a break down on the bill, how much <br />time, etc. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said o.k. Mr. Flynn said the Co_mmittee also discussed a municipal complex. They <br />recommend that Ordinance No. 89-32 be referred to the next Council <br />Caucus. Regarding M.C.I.C. they are asking Congress to retain I.R.B. <br />financing. They are investigating storm water management programs in <br />other cities. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mrs. Cinco said there was no meeting. <br />Historical Society - Mrs. Cinco distributed a progress report. She <br />said the land was graded, grass seed was planted and they are getting <br />ready to plant bulbs for spring. The plumbing will be completed by <br />the end of September and the house will be painted in October. They <br />will hold a Turkey Raffle on November 18. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Rinker said the annual M.A.R.C. art show will be held <br />, October 22-26 in the Highland Heights Community Room. Anyone <br />interested should contact Judy Bray at 729-0310. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Basile said the Committee has not met. <br />Planning arid Zoning - Mr. Basile said the committee considered the <br />variance request by Wheezer's Restaurant for 18 parking spaces at their <br />last meeting. The Planning and Zoning Commission approved the variance <br />and recommend approval by Council. The Committee also considered the <br />request by Village Plaza for an additional 8 parking spaces. That <br />request was not approved.
