?1?? <br />__ _.. -J <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />9/18/89 <br />Page 4 <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Petschauer said the 5 Mile Run will be held <br />October 22 and the Halloween Party will be held on October 28. The <br />Board <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Mills said the Committee met September 12. <br />They viewed the videotape about storm water management and reviewed <br />information about the police and fire radio. She said that Chief Mohr <br />has additional information for them. They reviewed the bids for the PA <br />system and recommend purchase of the system from Professional Sound <br />Services in the amount of $4,500. The Safety and Service Committee is <br />still considering the snow plowing program. <br />Mr. Flynn said he would like Council to amend the agenda to add the <br />Resolution regarding the application for Issue 2 funds. <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to amend the agenda <br />to include Resolution No. 89-66 regarding Issue 2. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Agenda Amended <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Beech Hill Pump Station - Mr. Ramos said the pre-trial will be held <br />tomorrow at -9 a.m. He said that he will relay-information pertaining <br />to the proposed settlement to Council before a decision is made about <br />accepting the settlement. He said he is well aware of the several <br />breaks that occurred this month and will notify the court about them. <br />Mr. Rinker asked how this applied to an article he had seen in the <br />newspaper today. <br />Mr. Hovancsek will look into it. <br />Aintree North Channel - Mr. Hovancsek said he contacted the contractor <br />who did Phase One. He picked up plans and specifications and will see <br />if he can submit a proposal similar to the proposal submitted for Phase <br />One. <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to authorize the <br />advertisement of formal bids. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Authorization Given <br />Mr. Hovancsek clarified that Phase 2 will be a completion of the whole <br />creek up to the easterly property line of the Aintree North properties. <br />Mr. Rinker asked if it would be feasible to break it into two phases <br />dollarwise.
