<br />Regular Council Meeting <br />11/20/89 <br />Page 2 <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />Regular Meeting of Council - 10/16/89 - Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. <br />Rinker, made a niotion to approve the minutes. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />Special Meeting of Council - 10/24/89 - Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. <br />Rinker, made a motion to approve the minutes. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />rlinutes Approved <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR CARMEN <br />Mayor Carmen said that as we head toward the holiday season people <br />should realize that there are people who are not as fortunate as we <br />are. To that end, each year we have a mitten tree. We also proclaim <br />"Coats for Kids" month. He read the Proclamation. Mayor Carmen urged <br />everyone to participate. <br />Mayor Carmen said he has the pleasure this evening of doing something <br />long overdue--swearing in the new lieutenant in the Police Department. <br />He said that Sgt. Jay has served Mayfield Village long and well. <br />Mayor Carmen administered the Oath of Office to Jack Jay as Police <br />Lieutenant. <br />Mayor Carmen thanked the voters of Mayfield Village for the results of <br />the last election. He said the issues which were on the ballot were <br />very important. riayor Carmen explained why he felt the need to respond <br />to the letter from the Coalition. <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT BASILE <br />Mr. Basile congratulated the two people who won the election and the <br />two who were re-elected. He wished everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Chief Mohr said the new fire truck is in service. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board - Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola was not <br />present; no report. <br />Cemetery - Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Citizen's Advisory Committee - Mr. Basile said the Committee will be <br />meeting Monday night.
