{t C' <br />? <br /> <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />11/20/89 <br />Page 3 <br />Commission on Aging - Mrs. Mills said that 110 shots were given during <br />the Flu Shot Program. Their Christmas Party will be held on December <br />16. They took a bus tour on November 15. <br />Fair Housing Committee - Mr. Petschauer was not present; no report. <br />Finance - Mr. Flynn said the committee met this evening. They <br />discussed the following legislation: Ordinance 89-48, Resolutions <br />89-78, Resolution 89-79, 89-53, 89-80. They recommend emergency <br />passage of Resolution 89-81. The Finance Director recommends that <br />Ordinances 89-44 and 89-45 be placed on First reading. An amendment <br />will follow for Ordinance 89-44. They recommend emergency passage of <br />Resolution No. 89-75. Mrs. Cinco said Resolution No. 89-83 needs to be <br />passed this evening so that we can implement the recycling program and <br />be ready for curbside pick-up of recyclables in the spring. The <br />Committee recommends passage of Resolution 89-84, 89-52, and 89-70. <br />They also discussed the preliminary study of a municipal complex, and <br />Ordinance 89-31. They recommend Council move ahead with Ordinance <br />89-49. Burgess and Niple will get back to us down the road we will <br />have a plan to handle storm problems. <br />Historical Society - Mrs. Cinco said the quilters moved into the new <br />room. Painting has been put on Yiold until spring. Approximately <br />$1,100 was made at the Turkey Raffle on Saturday. Their next event is <br />a pot luck dinner which will be held .on the second Wednesday in <br />December in the Community Room. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mrs. Mills said she attended the <br />October 26 meeting. They recommend passage of the resolution regarding <br />the awareness of drug abuse in the area (which is on the agenda.) <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Rinker said there was no meeting; no report. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Basile said there was no meeting; no <br />report. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said the Committee met on November b. <br />They discussed the special use permit for Ken's Auto Body and recommend <br />approval. They discussed some changes to Ordinance 89-42 which will be <br />given second reading again. Fisher's Tavern and a day care facility <br />for the Mayfield Methodist Church were also discussed. Planning and <br />Zoning held a special meeting on November 16 to discuss the day care <br />proposal. It is the consensus of inembers to recommend passage of the <br />legislation to Council as long as all city ordinances and Szate laws <br />are met. <br />Recreation - Mr. Santoro said the last Meeting was held November 15. <br />The Halloween Party was very successful. The Christmas Party will be <br />held on December 9.
