?? <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />2/17/92 <br />Page Thirteen <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Fixler, made a motion to adopt Resolution No. 91-85. <br />Mr. Diemert explained this is to correct original Resolution 91-85 which was passed last <br />year. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Morion Canied <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Proclamations - Tornado Safety Week/Red Cross Month <br />Mayor Pietrafese read a proclamation designating March 22-28 as Tornado Safety Week; <br />and a proclamation designating Mazch 1992 as Red Cross Month. <br />DamaLyed Police Cruiser <br />Mayor Pietrafese asked where we stand on the damaged cruiser <br />Chief Stevens said he has not received an estimate and has no idea whether it is repairable <br />or needs to be replaced. He said he was supposed to have received the estimate today. He <br />said there is also a possibility of converting an existing car to a marked car. <br />Mr. Flynn asked how much the car insurance company will contribute. <br />Chief Stevens said we will pay the deductible; the insurance company takes caze of the <br />remaining. They have a value figure in mind--that the car is worth a certain amount. If it <br />exceeds this amount, they will consider the car totalled. As soon as he has the estimate, he <br />will report to Mayor Pietrafese. <br />Safetv & Service Liaison <br />Mr. Rinker said that Council should have received information in their packet <br />Mayor Pietrafese said he is open for questions. <br />Mr. Rinker said he thought this item could be referred to the Safety and Service Committee. <br />Mr. Fixler asked if this is more of an advisory position; no authority to hire or fire. <br />Mayor Pietrafese said it is not anything to usurp anyone's power but to aid him in bridging <br />a gap. <br />Mr. Fixler asked if Mayor Pietrafese feels it is necessary. <br />Mayor Pietrafese said yes; and he thinks that particular person is more than qualified, not <br />only being a resident. <br />
