113)
00
Regular Council Meeting
2/17/92
Page Fourteen
Mrs. Cinco said she would like to put this item on the Safety and Service agenda. She
asked if Department Heads have the same infonnation so that they could have time to
respond how this would react with their respective departments. Mrs. Cinco said it may be
a good idea to pass this information on.
Mr. Rinker said Coiancil may have to hold a Special Council Meeting.
Mr. Basile said something needs to be done between the berm and bike path on S.O.M.
neaz the northeast corner at Aintree North.
Mr. Hovancsek said they attempted to have some stone put in the area and to do some work
on the bike path near the south of the cemetery. They had asked the Ohio Department of
Transportation to fund that project; they indicated they could not do that.
Mr. Rinker asked their reason.
Mayor Pietrafese said he would like to have Mr. Hovancsek look into the cost of guardrail
for that section by the northeast corner of S.O.M. on the bike path side.
?
1VIr. Hovancsek said they had made a request to do this previously. They were told that
there was not enough room to legally put in a guardrail.
Mr. Hovancsek said one other thought was to put in delineators to appear to have a
guardrail, or to put in plastic barriers. However, they did nothing since either of these
concepts were not very feasible.
Mr. Fixler said since the golf course is off the ballot he has not seen anything about
progress made. He asked if we will keep this on the ballot.
Mr. Rinker said Mr. Fixler will get some materials this evening. He said there is a
possibility that a Special Meeting of Council will be held.
Mayor Pietrafese said we have had fruitful discussions with the owners of Parkview; there
has been much discussion, and he hopes Council will agree that this is a favorable proposal
and could. have some benefit to us.
Mr. Flynn complimented Mayor Fietrafese on his negotiations to renew the employee
health insurance plan at no additional cost other than a minimal increase in the dental plan.
There being no further business, Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Fixler, made a motion to
adjourn.
ROLL CALL: AYES: All
