38
Special Council Meeting
3/9/92
Page Two
Mr. Rinker stated the benefit the Village would realize by entering into this type of
agreement is that it would forego the litigation through eminent domain. He said the overall
idea is to maintain green space and allow for its unprovement, and to provide Mayfield
Village residents with some additional perquisites. Mr. Rinker said that to remove the
mechanism of lirigation that has characterized debate over this property through three
decades, to provide the opportunity to maintain green space consistent with Mayfield
Village, they feel would be a good long-term investment for the Village.
Further discussion was held and comments were received from all members of Council and
the following members of the audience:
Mr. Kotoch, Dino Marino, Mrs. Basconi.
Mr. Rinker said he thinks the next order of business is to get Mr. Gavin in here--possibly
for the Regular Meeting of March 16.
Mr. Busa asked Council to please forgive him if he sounds green, however, he had been
reading the original plan dated January 17 which was 5 pages. Until last week he did not
know the other one dated 2/17 existed.

There being no further business, Mr. Basile, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to
adjourn.
