40 <br />Regular Council Meering <br />3/16/92 <br />Page Two <br />MAYOR'S UPI)ATES: <br />Mayor Pietrafese reported that the audit was completed. It was a successful audit. <br />Everyone is welcome to a copy of it in approximately 45 days after it is accepted. The <br />auditors do not want any copies released until it is final. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS: <br />Finance: Mr. Toth said the Finance Committee held a meering this evening. He will let the <br />Finance Committee Chairman take up on it and if anyone has any questions at that time, he <br />will answer them. <br />Leal: Mr. Diemert said he will give Mayor Pietrafese a copy of the American Disabilities <br />Act. He asked Mayor Fietrafese to give a copy to all Department Heads. This is a more <br />detailed explanarion on public buildings. Mr. Diemert said he turned over informarion <br />regarding the collecrion of monies to Mayor Pietrafese to give to the Finance Department. <br />He said Councilman Busa has indicated a desire to dismiss his lawsuit with former Mayor <br />Carmen. Mr. Busa and Mr. Comella have agreed to sign a release which will need signed. <br />Mr. Diemert said that Mr. Busa has expressed a desire to work along with the Mayor and <br />Council and not have a barrier. New litigation has been filed by Village residents Panichi <br />and Basconi. He will look at it and advise Council on that subject matter in the near future. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola said the Board met and approved a new sign <br />for Cooperman's Restaurant which is replacing Wheezer s. They also approved an access <br />building, denied the color of awnings. They will be bringing new samples in this week. <br />Board of Apneals - Mr. Amendola said they were not required to meet this month. <br />Cemeterv - Mr. Flynn said there was no report. <br />Cirizen's Advisorv - Mr. Fixler said the Committee met February 24. They elected James <br />Mason as Chairman; Shirley Flugan as Secretary. They discussed concerns relating to the <br />Progressive Insurance expansion. A question was raised about the right-turn only lane <br />eastbound at the corner of S.O.M. They are curious as to where the new municipal center <br />will be, and where the monies will come from. One other concern was expressed about <br />traffic; a potenrially dangerous area turning left into Worton Park from Wilson Mills. They <br />would like to know if someone could give them an update. Mr. Fixler asked if it would be <br />okay to write an article about them in the Voice of the Village so they could be a sounding <br />board for the people. <br />Commission on A ing - Mr. Busa reported that a St. Patrick's Day party will be held <br />tomorrow. Lunch will be served. The Commission on Aging will be attending the High <br />School musical on Apri19. Their tenth anniversary party will be held May 16. They will <br />visit the Western Reserve Historical Society on Apri115; there are many other upcoming <br />events.
